Classes Year One

Last term Year 1 were learning about Judaism in RE. They had apples and honey to celebrate Rosh Hashanah.
This term Year 1 have been learning about Christianity and how a baby is Christened.
These children, all in Year 1 have made us very proud. 1st prize went to the child on the left for writing a recipe for a Dragon's meal. 2nd prize went to the child on the right for writing a letter invitation to a Dragon to come to a party. The child in the middle was congratulated for reading a million words. Well done to all of you!
Year one will be taking part in the Walking Festival on Friday 11th May. They will be walking to the remains of Prestatyn Castle and will work with Denbighshire County Council Archaeologist, Fiona Gayle, finding out about the excavations on the site and what it might have looked at.

Mrs Smith's and Mrs Jones-Davies' children went to the library today to listen to the author and illustrator Lynne Chapman. A good time was had by all the children and they were very well behaved. We will try and find as many books as we can written by Lynne Chapman to put in our school library.
